Languish Series 2021.
Santosh Jain takes solace in art again, continuing to document shared history through works of self expression.
New source material.
“There has been an upsurge of home deliveries and I observed how the inks on receipts reacted with sanitiser sprays to create vivid patterns. Everything is changing... our lives too. And these strips offered another medium to me to create art on.”

Coping.
Santosh Jain began creating these works as a response to the second wave that rocked India March 2021 onwards…
“The second wave is here and it’s dreadful. I feel just as we were beginning to stand on our feet again after the tumulus 2020, we are knee deep in a bigger mess in 2021. This is awful and I feel being pressed down with so much going around... tv news updates, ambulance sirens, eerie silence and the never ending whatsapp forwards.”
